On 12th November 2025 at 7:30 p.m., a grand Farewell Celebration was organized in honor of Mr. Binu K. John, Founder Member, Former KMRM President, two-time Advisory Board Chairman, five-time General Secretary, two-time Auditor, two-time Chief Election Commissioner, Vice President, and a devoted Sunday School Teacher for over 20 years.
The event began with a Welcome Address by General Secretary and was presided over by KMRM President Mr. Shaji Varghese. Advisory Board Chairman Mr. Thomas Mamoottil delivered a brief felicitation message. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Treasurer Mr. Santhosh George. In his Benedictory Speech, Rev. Dr. Thomas Kanjiramukalil, Spiritual Director of KMRM, commended Mr. Binu for his dedication, leadership, and exceptional administrative abilities. He presented the prestigious memento, the “Ashamsa Pathram,” which was read aloud by the General Secretary for the acknowledgment of the audience.
More than 60 active members from various KMRM areas, Abbassiya, Salmiya, Ahmadi, and the City attended the event. Many members shared their heartfelt words, reflecting on Mr. Binu’s outstanding contributions, achievements, and the remarkable efficiency with which he carried out every role entrusted to him. Everyone wished him continued success in his future endeavors and expressed deep gratitude for his 32 years of devoted service to the Kuwait Malankara Rite Movement, during which he played a vital role in strengthening the spiritual and social life of the Syro-Malankara Catholic community in Kuwait.
In his Thank You Address, Mr. Binu K. John reflected on the early challenges faced by the Movement and the shared vision that helped lay a strong foundation for KMRM. He expressed his sincere appreciation to the Managing Committee 2025 for organizing such a memorable farewell and thanked all members for their love, support, and friendship throughout his 32-year journey in Kuwait.
The evening concluded with a buffet dinner at 11:00 p.m., marking the end of a memorable and emotional farewell celebration.
It was a great challenge for Mr. Mathew Koshy to organize this Farewell Party on such short notice, yet within just eight hours, he arranged a wonderful event. Sincere appreciation for his dedication and excellent service.
