About KMRM

Kuwait Malankara Rite Movement (K.M.R.M.) "The Syro Malankara Catholic Faithful in Kuwait"

The Kuwait Malankara Rite Movement (KMRM), the embodiment of the Syro Malankara Catholic faith in Kuwait, was established on February 27, 1994 with the approval of His Grace Benedict Mar Gregorios, the Archbishop of the Syro Malankara Catholic Church.

By the divine grace of Almighty God, KMRM has triumphantly completed three decades of unwavering service to the Syro Malankara Catholic community as well as the social empowerment of Indians in Kuwait irrespective of cast, creed, religion or state. Throughout these years, it has not only served as the bedrock of our Christian community but has also spearheaded countless humanitarian initiatives with profound dedication of human kind.

We stand with immense pride as we witness the extraordinary transformation of the small mustard seed planted in 1994 into a towering tree, offering shelter and sustenance to generations. This is a momentous occasion to express our deepest gratitude to the Almighty for steering us with unwavering faith, unity, and boundless generosity.

In 2024, the Kuwait Malankara Rite Movement (KMRM) reaches an extraordinary milestone—our “Pearl Jubilee”, marking 30 years of steadfast faith and unparalleled devotion. This three-decade journey is not just a celebration of longevity but a testament to our enduring unity, resilience, and spiritual fortitude.

KMRM’s unwavering mission is to fortify the spiritual foundations of our community while igniting vibrant social and cultural engagement. Together, we strive to uphold and celebrate the rich heritage of the Syro-Malankara Catholic tradition, ensuring our legacy shines brighter with every step forward.

Under the esteemed patronage of AVONA, KMRM proudly conducts Catechism Classes following the Syro-Malankara Curriculum, known as “The Syro-Malankara Catholic Faith Formation” (SMCFF). These classes serve as the foundation for nurturing the faith, tradition, values, and spiritual growth of our children. Beyond this, our young generation thrives through active participation in the MCCL (Malankara Catholic Children’s League) or Baladeepam, which instills cultural pride, spiritual enrichment, and a deep sense of community.

The women of KMRM stand as unwavering pillars of strength and devotion, passionately engaged through Mathruvedi and Friends of Mary (FOM). These platforms empower them to spearhead initiatives that seamlessly integrate prayerful dedication with profound cultural and social impact, leaving an enduring legacy of faith and service.

Our vibrant youth channel their boundless energy through the Malankara Catholic Youth Movement (MCYM), emerging as leaders committed to faith, service, and community growth.

Meanwhile, those who have returned permanently to their homeland remain an integral part of the KMRM family through the Kuwait Malankara Returnees Forum (KMRF), ensuring that their bonds with the Church and its mission remain unbroken.

These dynamic entities, SMCFF, MCCL/Baladeepam, Mathruvedi/FOM, MCYM, and KMRF stand as the lifeblood of KMRM, collectively fueling its vision to preserve, celebrate, and advance the legacy of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church. Together, they embody the strength, unity, and unwavering spirit of our community.

The Central Managing Committee (CMC) orchestrates the annual activities of KMRM, ensuring a seamless blend of spiritual, cultural, and social engagements that reflect the organization's mission and vision.
