About Abbasiya Area
There are 4 Catholic Parishes in Kuwait. On 29th January 2010, Kuwait Vicariate's fourth and newest parish was blessed and canonically erected by His Lordship Camillo Ballin, MCCJ, during the concelebrated Mass in the parish church at Jleeb Al-Shuyouk, Kuwait. The parish has been dedicated to Saint Daniel Comboni, Bishop and Founder of the Congregation of the Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus.
Now Kuwait Vicariate have total 4 Parish. They are in Kuwait City, Ahmadi, Salmiya and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.
- Holy Family Cathedral Parish, Kuwait City
- Our Lady of Arabia Parish, Ahmadi
- St. Thérèse Parish, Salmiya
- St. Daniel Comboni Parish, Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh
St. Daniel Comboni Parish is one of the above mentioned churches located in Jleeb Al Shuyoukh (Abbasiya). On Parish basis KMRM members are divided into Four Areas.
Now a days, Abbasiya Area have Four Sectors and each Sector sub-divided into 15 Kudumba Koottayma as shown below:
