The KMRM-affiliated children’s association Baladeepam organized a football tournament named Bellatores Dei Cup on 15 August 2025 at 4:30 pm at the Abbassiya Pakistan English School turf ground.
The event began with a prayer led by KMRM Spiritual Director Rev. Dr. Thomas Kanjiramukalil. Four children’s teams participated in the tournament:
Desert Falcons FC (Captain: Master Alvin Soji)
Thunderbolts FC (Captain: Master Bivin Poulose)
Kings FC (Captain: Master Jaison Jose)
Phoenix FC (Captain: Master Steven Biju)
KMRM officials, including the Spiritual Director, President, General Secretary, and Baladeepam Animator, ceremonially placed the captain’s armbands on the players.
In the final match, Thunderbolts FC emerged as champions and lifted the BELLATORES DEI Cup, with Desert Falcons FC finishing as runners-up. Phoenix FC secured third place.
Individual awards were presented as follows:
Best Player: Master Alvin John Soji
Top Scorer: Master Joe M. Lawrence
Best Defender: Master Bijin Thomas Biju
Best Goalkeeper: Master Bivin Poulose
The closing ceremony and prize distribution were led by Rev. Dr. Thomas Kanjiramukalil (Spiritual Director), Mr. Shaji Varghese (President), Mr. Jomon Cherian (General Secretary), Mr. George Mathew (Senior Vice President & Baladeepam Animator), along with other KMRM officials.
During the ceremony, Baladeepam President Master Alvin John Soji expressed heartfelt gratitude to the KMRM Managing Committee and officials for their support in making the long-awaited children’s tournament a reality. The vote of thanks was delivered by Baladeepam Vice President Master Christo John Jerry.
The tournament was attended by many KMRM officials, members, and families. It was organized by Baladeepam under the supervision of Mr. Liju Parackal (SMCFF Headmaster), Mr. Santhosh George (Treasurer), Mr. Joji Vellappalli (Joint Treasurer).
Mr. Lince John provided the live commentary, while Miss Libini Laiju served as the Master of Ceremony.
