കാട്ടാക്കട. തെക്കിന്‍റെ പ്രവാചകന്‍ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന കോര്‍ എപ്പിസ്കോപ്പ ഫാ.ഫിലിപ്പ് ഉഴനല്ലൂര്‍ നിര്യാതനായി. വാര്‍ദ്ധക്യ സഹജമായ അസുഖങ്ങള്‍ മൂലം ചികിത്സയിലിരിക്കെ കാട്ടാക്കടയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിലാണ് അന്ത്യം . ഏറെക്കാലമായി കാട്ടാക്കട നെല്ലിക്കാടില്‍ വിശ്രമ ജീവിതം നയിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. പാവങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നല്‍കുന്നതിനായി കാട്ടാക്കട താലൂക്കിലെ പുന്നാവൂര്‍ കേന്ദ്രമാക്കി 1974 സെപ്റ്റംബര്‍ 2 ന്  ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് മീഡിയം സ്കൂള്‍ സ്ഥാപിച്ചാണ് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തിന്‍റെ തെക്കന്‍ പ്രദേശത്ത് ഫാ. ഫിലിപ്പ് ഉഴനല്ലൂര്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത് . തുടര്‍ന്ന് നെയ്യാറ്റിന്‍കരയില്‍ ഹോളിക്യൂന്‍ നെല്ലിക്കാടില്‍ ഫാ.ഫിലിപ് ഹയര്‍ സെക്കന്‍ഡറി സ്കൂള്‍ എന്നീ വിദ്യാലയങ്ങള്‍ സ്ഥാപിച്ചു. ബിഷപ് മാര്‍ ഗ്രിഗോറിയോസിനൊപ്പം നെയ്യാറ്റിന്‍കര നെടുമങ്ങാട് കാട്ടാക്കട താലൂക്കുകളിലായി 56 ദേവാലയങ്ങള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം പണികഴിപ്പച്ച് വിശ്വാസ സമൂഹത്തിന് സമര്‍പ്പിച്ചു. ചെങ്ങന്നൂര്‍ എലഞ്ഞിമേല്‍ ഉഴനല്ലൂര്‍ കുര്യന്‍ നയനാന്‍റെയും അന്നമ്മനയനാന്‍റെയും 7 മക്കളില്‍ 6 ാമനായി 1936 ഏപ്രില്‍ 16 ന് ജനിച്ച കോര്‍എപ്പിസ്കോപ്പ പ്രാഥമിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം   മാവേലിക്കര സിഎംഎസ് സ്കൂളിലും പട്ടം സെന്‍റ് മേരീസ് സ്കൂളിലുമായി പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കി. 1953 ല്‍ പട്ടം സെന്‍റ് അലോഷ്യസ് മൈനര്‍ സെമിനാരിയില്‍ വൈദീക പരിശീലനം ആരംഭിച്ച ഫാ.ഫിലിപ്പ് 1963 ഡിസംബര്‍ 3 ന് വൈദിക പട്ടം സ്വീകരിച്ചു. 1967 ല്‍ ബാലരാമപുരത്ത് മിഷന്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം ആരംഭിച്ച ഫാ.ഫിലിപ് ചെമ്പരത്തിവിള കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചാണ് പില്‍ക്കാലത്ത് അജപാലന ദൗത്യം നിര്‍വ്വഹിച്ചത്. തുടര്‍ന്ന് പുന്നാവൂര്‍ , പുത്തന്‍കാവുവിള എന്നീ ദേവാലയങ്ങളിലും ശൂശ്രൂഷ നിര്‍വ്വഹിച്ചു. ഇന്ന് ( 26 09 2020) വൈകിട്ട് 2 മണിമുതല്‍ നെല്ലിക്കാട് ഫാ.ഫിലിപ്സ് ഹയര്‍ സെക്കന്‍ഡറി സ്കൂളില്‍ പൊതു ദര്‍ശനത്തിന് വക്കുന്ന കോര്‍ എപ്പിസ്കോപ്പയുടെ ഭൗതിക ശരീരം ഞായറാഴ്ച 3 ന് നെല്ലിക്കാട് ചാപ്പലില്‍ സംസ്കരിക്കും. മലങ്കര കത്തോലിക്കാസഭാ മേജര്‍ ആര്‍ച്ച് ബിഷപ് കര്‍ദിനാള്‍ ക്ലിമിസ് കാതോലിക്കാബാവ   പാറശാല ബിഷപ് തോമസ് മാര്‍ യൗസേബിയോസ് തുടങ്ങിയവര്‍  ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തി അന്തിമോപചാരം അര്‍പ്പിച്ചു.
